About the Author

My name is Nicolas Yovino and I was born and raised in Parkland, Florida. I have always been interested in story-telling with the ability to deliver a message through an entertaining plot and intriguing and relatable characters. I had written screenplays and short stories but had never poured my heart into a genuine project. Being a full-time writer as a career always seemed impossible.

While I was pursuing my degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Central Florida, I began writing “The Solace of Time”; a 79,000 word science fiction, young adult novel which took over two years to complete.

With the help of family, I wrote, edited, printed, and self-published “The Solace of Time”. After selling several copies to friends, the book began to branch out to the point where people I had never met reached out to give their praises. The honest feedback from readers have sparked an inspiration: I can do this.

I have since received my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and am currently in my second year of Law School at Barry University in Orlando, Florida. While in Law School, I am currently writing the sequel to Book 1 which will be a part of an epic series.
